On Monday, March 2, 2026, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a residence on the 300 block of Second Street. The victim alleged that a male identified as Rickey Edwards physically assaulted her, punching her in the left eye, and striking her on the right side of the head and chest area with a closed fist. The victim's injuries were consistent with the account of the incident.

Based on the victim's statement, observation of the injuries, and the defendant's admission, Rickey Edwards was subsequently charged with Simple Assault (Domestic Violence - Act 10) and Harassment.
