Join the City of Harrisburg this Friday for the 2nd Annual Harrisburg Tree Lighting at the City Government Center from 6 -8pm! Festivities include an artist’s market, kids’ crafts, caroling groups, free cookies and cocoa, and a visit from Santa. The tree will be illuminated at 7pm.
After the tree lighting, join us for the annual Cargill Holiday Parade on Saturday at 10 am for this year’s theme, “Deck the Paws”! The parade will feature giant balloons, performances by marching bands and dance teams, decorated floats, characters, Santa Claus, and more. The parade takes place on Front and 2nd Streets from Market to North Street. After the parade, head to Strawberry Square to meet Santa, enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies, and find out the contest winners. Share your photos using #HolidayParadeHBG!
Parking is available in the downtown area in the Market Square Garage for $10 from 8am – 8pm, courtesy of Park Harrisburg. If taking public transportation, a bus stop and the train station are just 2 blocks away.
