On December 9, 2014, Jeffrey Wayne Eutzy, 31, of Harrisburg, pleaded guilty and was immediately sentenced to a total period of 9 to 40 years in a State Correctional Institution by the Honorable Judge Deborah Curcillo on charges of armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Robbery and Unlawful Possession of an Instrument of a Crime. The charges stemmed from an October 13, 2013 incident on the 1700 block of Green St. in the city of Harrisburg. Eutzy, along with his alleged co-defendant, Robert Williamson, approached the two victims as they walked home from church that Sunday morning. After getting the girl’s attention, Eutzy produced a black and silver firearm from beneath his waistband and demanded that they surrender their purses to his co-defendant; at which point both assailants ran south on Green Street. Within the hour, Officers of the Harrisburg Bureau of Police located and identified both individuals, and subsequently recovered the victim’s purses, which were only missing a total of $35 cash. Eutzy will be just past his 70th birthday when this sentence is completed.
The case was prosecuted for the Commonwealth by Deputy District Attorney Joel Hogentogler.
