The jury found him not guilty of Resisting Arrest.
On March 28, 2015, the Harrisburg Street Crimes Unit was patrolling the area of 6th and Radnor Streets in Harrisburg City when they observed the defendant and noticed that he appeared to be nervous and attempted to evade police. A few moments later, the defendant was observed speaking with another individual and when police went to make contact with him, he ran. After a brief chase, it took three officers to get the defendant in to custody. When the defendant was searched, he was found to have a bundle of heroin on his person. After speaking with the other male and observing text messages between he and the defendant, police discovered that the defendant met with the other male for the purpose of delivering the heroin to him. The Harrisburg Street Crimes Unit is a specialized unit out of the Harrisburg City Police Department that has a partnership with parole and probation, and focuses on street level drug trafficking and violent crimes throughout the city.
Deputy District Attorney Kristyne Sharpe praised the hard work of the police in this case. "The knowledge and many years of experience of Sergeant Milo Hooper and Officer Nicholas Ishman aided in the arrest and ultimate conviction of the defendant."
