November 2, 2015- Commonwealth v Milton R Flores: This morning, Milton R. Flores, 50, Harrisburg, entered a no contest plea to the charges of indecent assault; unlawful contact with a minor; and corruption of minors before the Honorable Judge John F. Cherry. Flores was scheduled to begin a jury trial this morning when he decided to enter an open plea to the charges. An open plea gives the Court the complete discretion in sentencing. Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Gettle indicated she would be seeking a state sentence. Flores was accused of indecently touching a 13 year old girl on multiple occasions in Derry Township while he was visiting the child’s mother. Flores was previously convicted of statutory rape in 1991. Sentencing has been set for February 1, 2016, while the Court awaits a report to be completed by the PA Sexual Offender’s Board to determine if Flores should be classified as a sexually violent predator. This case was investigated by Detective David Melhorn of the Derry Township Police Department.
