On May 13, 2025, as part of National Police Week, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo held the office's annual awards ceremony in the Dauphin County Courthouse. After a moment of silence honoring the memory of fallen law enforcement officers, District Attorney Chardo presented the following awards.
Officer First Class Luke J. Blair of the Derry Township Police Department received the Lieutenant Robert "Bo" McCallister Memorial Award for Outstanding Service as a Patrol Officer.
Detective Brian R. Carriere of the Harrisburg Bureau of Police received the Detective Samuel Thomas Kohr Memorial Award for Outstanding Service as a Detective.
Corporal Christopher D. Haines of the Susquehanna Township Police Department received the Detective Willie Holland Memorial Award for Outstanding Career Service as a Police Officer. Detective Holland’s son and granddaughter presented the award to Corporal Haines. Detective Holland’s son, Kevin Holland, who retired after service as a member of the Pennsylvania State Police, spoke at the ceremony.
Deputy District Attorney Alexandra McNulty and Deputy District Attorney Colin F. Zwally each received the Honorable LeRoy S. Zimmerman Award for Outstanding Service by a Prosecutor. Former Attorney General Zimmerman presented the awards and spoke at the ceremony.
Dauphin County Juvenile Probation Officer C. Micheal Carter received the Director Terry Davis Award for Outstanding Service as a Probation/Parole Officer.
Susquehanna Township Fire Marshal George C. Drees and Dauphin County Dispatcher Kelly J. Cunningham each received the Lieutenant Dennis H. DeVoe Memorial Award for Outstanding Service in Emergency Response.
La'Myra H. King received the District Attorney’s Award for Outstanding Service by a Citizen.
In addition to the above honorees, District Attorney Chardo recognized the contributions and sacrifices of all our law enforcement officers during this National Police Week.
