On Friday September 30, 2016 at approximately 0124 hrs. Off. Sinnott & Off. Bingham were on patrol in the area of the 100 blk. Howard Ave. The Officers effected a vehicle stop on a green Mercury Sable for a noise ordinance violation. The stop happened on the 300 blk. Howard Ave.

The driver was identified as Brandon Pitt B/M/30 400 blk. E. Strawberry St. Lancaster, PA, The passenger was identified as Davonte Butts B/M/23 600 blk. W. Lemon St. Lancaster, PA. Butts was found to be in possesion of several baggies of suspected Heroin and several .22 caliber rounds. A .22 caliber revolver was found in the interior of the vehicle in an area accessible to both Pitt and Butts. Both males were taken into custody.

Off. Bingham filed a criminal complaint against Pitt before MDJ Wilwerth. Pitt was charged with Firearms not to be Carried Without a License (F3), Noise Ordinance (S) and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Suspended (S). Pitt was arraigned and committed to LCP in lieu of $40,000 bail.

Off. Sinnott filed a criminal complaint against Butts before MDJ Wilwerth. Butts was charged with Possession of Heroin (M), Persons Not To Possess (etc.) Firearms (F2) and Firearms Not To Be Carried Without a License(F3). Butts was arraigned and committed to LCP in lieu of $50,000 bail. 

This is the 44th firearms related arrest made by Lancaster City Bureau of Police Officers in 2016. 

All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
