Through a collaboration with Pearl S. Buck International and Delaware Valley Insurance Trust, CBRPD was designated a “pilot site” for Intercultural Education Training.  The training, customized for law enforcement, focused on sustaining a diverse and inclusive workplace and community, recognizing intercultural competences as an essential skill for policing, core concepts, and methods for interaction with cultural “others.”  The first session took place today and by the end of the week, all CBRPD officers will be trained in an effort to understand cultural differences, values, beliefs and behaviors of a group of interacting people.
