West Shore Regional Police Department Statement Regarding Officer Raleigh Sirb

The West Shore Regional Police Department has been aware since the date of the incident that Officer Raleigh Sirb was charged with Driving Under the Influence by the Lower Allen Township Police Department.

This matter is being handled by the Lower Allen Township Police Department, and any questions regarding the criminal investigation should be directed to that agency. The West Shore Regional Police Department is not involved in the criminal investigation.

The Department takes this matter seriously and holds its officers to high professional and ethical standards both on and off duty. Upon learning of the incident, the Department initiated an internal administrative review consistent with department policy and applicable employment procedures.

Officer Sirb is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Because this is an active legal and personnel matter, the Department will not provide additional comment at this time.
