The North Middleton Township Police Department is currently recruiting for the position of Police Officer.   All candidates must have completed the Act 120 Academy or be able to obtain MPOETC Certification upon employment. 

The North Middleton Township Police Department provides services to a diverse population of about 11,700 covering 24 square miles in north central Cumberland County, from high density neighborhoods to rural agricultural areas. The Department currently has 10 sworn members along with 1 non-sworn member.

Requirements for the position are as follows:

1- United States Citizen

2- 21 years of age or older prior to appointment.

3- Act 120 certified.

4- Must obtain or have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.

5- Must be in good physical health and able to pass MPOETC physical and psychological fitness exams along with pass a drug screening test.

6- Must pass a vigorous background investigation.

7- Must be able and willing to work any shift assigned.
