Sgt. Wambold Honored with Unit Citation

On Monday, January 26th, 2026, the Lower Allen Township Police Department presented Sgt. Wambold received a Unit Citation for his courageous actions during a high-risk incident late last year.

The Incident

The award stems from an encounter on November 6th, 2025, involving an armed suspect wanted for carjacking and assault. Sgt. Wambold demonstrated exceptional tactical coordination and bravery during:

• A high-risk vehicle pursuit through local jurisdictions.
• A dangerous foot pursuit after the suspect abandoned the vehicle.
• The successful apprehension of the armed individual removed a significant threat from our community.
