Charges: Strangulation, Simple Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Harassment

The New Cumberland Police were called to the 300 Block of Market Street for an active physical domestic with shots fired. New Cumberland Police along with assisting agencies, Lower Allen Police Department and West Shore Regional, saturated the area with law enforcement. The suspect,  identified as Jeremy Hart had left the scene, but was subsequently taken into custody without incident. Jeremy Hart and the victim had gotten into a verbal argument which then turned physical. The victim, acting in self-defense, had presented a firearm and a struggle ensued between the victim and Hart over the firearm which caused the firearm to discharge. No one was injured from the firearm going off. Jeremy Hart was taken to Cumberland County Prison for processing and arraignment; bail was set at $80,000.
