On August 26th, 2026, at approximately 3:51 pm, the police department was dispatched to a crash which occurred in the 700 block of East Simpson Street. Upon arrival officers determined both vehicles were travelling eastbound on East Simpson Street. The lead vehicle was slowing to a stop for traffic and was struck from behind by another vehicle. The struck vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. EMS transported the driver of the striking vehicle to the hospital for further evaluation of injuries they sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health Life Lion EMS.
