On June 21st, 2026, at approximately 1:35 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of North Washington Street and West Allen Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined a vehicle was travelling south on North Washington Street. The driver is believed to have had a medical event and their vehicle left the roadway striking the stone wall at the entrance to Memorial Park. The driver attempted to leave the scene driving northbound on North Washington Street before witnesses were able to get the driver to stop. The driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation and their vehicle was towed from the scene.  The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Life Lion EMS.
