On June 10th, 2026, at approximately 9:27 am, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred in the 200 block of North York Street. Upon arrival officers determined a vehicle was slowing in traffic for the red light ahead. The vehicle behind theirs struck them after the driver hit the accelerator rather than the brake. The struck vehicle was towed from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. The driver of the struck vehicle was evaluated by EMS on scene. The police department was assisted by Penn State Life Lion EMS.
