On April 9th, 2025, at approximately 4:42 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Simpson and South Norway Streets for a crash which just occurred. Officers determined a vehicle was travelling south on South Norway Street and did not stop at the stop sign at East Simpson Street. They attempted to turn left onto East Simpson Street and were struck by an eastbound vehicle. The struck vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. The driver in the striking vehicle was transported to the hospital for further evaluation of injuries they sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS.
