On February 12th, 2026, at approximately 6:11 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of North Walnut Street and East Schoolside Drive for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined a vehicle was travelling north on North Walnut Street. Vehicles were stopped for traffic at the intersection with East Schoolside Drive and the northbound vehicle was not able to stop prior to striking a vehicle in the rear. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene, but the driver of the striking vehicle was evaluated by EMS for an injury they sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS.
