On January 14th 2026, at approximately 2:12 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Elmwood Avenue and South Market Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined a vehicle stopped at the stop sign on East Elmwood Avenue facing west. They attempted to turn left onto South Market Street. Upon pulling into the intersection they struck a vehicle as it was passing East Elmwood Avenue, travelling north on South Market Street. The struck vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
