On December 23rd, 2025, at approximately 2:00 pm, the police department was dispatched to intersection of Allendale Road and Apple Drive for a crash. Upon arrival officers found a vehicle in the yard of a residence against a tree in the 800 block of Apple Drive. The driver of the vehicle advised they another vehicle was travelling near his vehicle and he "just came too far over this way." His vehicle went over the curb, through a fence, and stopped after striking the tree. The driver was transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The vehicle required towing from the scene. Officers were assisted on scene by the Mechanicsburg Fire Department and Penn State Health EMS. The crash remains under investigation.
