On March 6th, 2026, at approximately 2:25 pm, the victim contacted the police department about a transaction they made to obtain a loan. The victim, who resides in the 1100 block of East Simpson Street, advised they made contact with a "loan company", Business Loan Financial, in an attempt to secure a business loan. The victim sent $1500 as an initial payment and since transferring the money, they have been unable to get into contact with the company. Research into the company conducted by the police department determined it was most likely a scam and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the police department.
