On September 20th, 2025, at approximately 9:20 am, the police department was contacted for a welfare check on an individual later determined to be the victim. It was reported the victim was seen earlier in the morning and had visible injuries from a physical altercation with their spouse. Contact was made with the victim and the suspect, Kline. The victim had visible injuries which were consistent with having been assaulted. Kline was taken into custody and was transported to the Cumberland County Prison. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Bryan Ruth and was given $5,000 secure bail. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
