April 19 – April 25 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. On Wednesday April 22nd, Cumberland County observed their 25th Annual Victims’ Rights Rally and One-Mile Walk in an effort to recognize and honor crime victims/survivors, law enforcement officers, and esteemed community members who have put forth tremendous effort advocating for crime victims’ rights. Cumberland County Victim Services strives to help victims recover from the physical, emotional, and financial impact of crime.
Attendees were challenged to listen, act, and advocate to help protect victims and better serve our community. Five people were recognized for their exemplary service in this regard.
We are pleased to announce that Detective Donald Coffey of the Lower Allen Township Police Department was the recipient of the Cumberland County Victim Advocacy Award in recognition of his compassion, his care, and his tenacity for justice.
Great job, Don!
