On April 12th, 2026, an officer from Lower Allen Township Police Department stopped a blue Ram 1500 for a suspended registration plate. Officers noted the vehicle smelled of marijuana and when asked the operator Jared Bentley advised he did not have a medical card and that the vehicle may have an old bong.
During the stop a search of the vehicle was conducted and police recovered the bong, a pill bottle with suspected marijuana, and baggies containing a white powdery substance.
The white powdery substance was later tested at the lab and found to be cocaine.
Charges were filed and a summons was issued for Bentley.
