On March 23, 2022 around 12:32 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was notified of a non-active sexual assault. An eight year old female juvenile had disclosed during a forensic interview at the Children's Advocacy Center that she had been sexually assaulted by a known subject. The victim was able to describe the details of the assault and identified the actor as Benjamin Banks (57).

Investigators were able to meet with Banks and interviewed him. During the course of the interview, the defendant admitted to performing the acts against the juvenile as described by the victim. A warrant was issued for Banks' arrest.

The arrest warrant was served on April 6, 2022. He was arraigned and transported to CCP.
