On May 8th, 2026, it was reported to the police department that a catalytic converter was taken off a vehicle which had been parked in the 100 block of East Main Street. The victim advised the converter taken off their vehicle had distinctive markings on it, as they installed it themselves, and would be able to identify it if seen again. A check at a local scrap yard resulted in finding a converter had been sold and the victim identified it as the one taken from their vehicle based on the markings. The individual who sold the converter to the scrap yard was identified as Hymer. Hymer is not known to the victim. All attempts to contact Hymer have been unsuccessful and his current whereabouts are unknown. A warrant was therefore obtained.
