The Renovo Police Department has arrested 57 year old James Evans, currently of Renovo, stemming from incidents which occurred on 3 dates between 01/05/26 and 01/09/26. Evans breached the lock on an apartment at Ransdorf Manor, 350 Huron Av, and removed multiple household items valued at around $125. Evans was not authorized to enter this apartment, and did so in the middle of the night and made efforts to conceal himself. At one point, Evans covered a security camera to avoid detection.
On 01/15/26, Evans was charged with 2 counts of F1 burglary, 2 counts of F2 criminal trespass, 2 counts of M2 Theft by Unlawful Taking, 2 counts of M2 Receiving Stolen Property, and one count of summary criminal mischief. Evans was arraigned by MDJ Mills and committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.
