On January 5, 2026, Lock Haven City Police Officers responded to the Spin Cycle Laundromat, 310 North Vesper Street, for a report of a disturbance. The laundromat owner reported that two individuals who had been inside the laundromat, were standing on top of the tables and acting in a disorderly manner. The owner stated that he observed the individuals on camera and then went to the location. Upon arriving there, the owner attempted to stop the individuals from stealing a laundry cart and while doing so, the suspect, Alvin Wesley George, III, and the second suspect, Kari Stump, allegedly chased and threatened the owner before fleeing the scene. Upon reviewing video surveillance and recovering the laundry cart, George, III, was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Or Disposition (M1), Receiving Stolen Property (M1), Harassment (M3), Disorderly Conduct (S), and Harassment (S). Stump received a non-traffic summary citation for Disorderly Conduct.
