LOCK HAVEN – Kenneth Matthew Yerger, 28, of Longmeadow Lane, State College, was sentenced Friday afternoon to 50 to 100 years in state prison following his August 2025 conviction on 56 counts of child sexual abuse involving 4 different juvenile victims. Clinton County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael F. Salisbury imposed the sentence, having also presided over the two-day jury trial.
Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse appeared on behalf of the Commonwealth, and also prosecuted the case at trial. Strouse argued for a “significant sentence that would remove Yerger from the possibility or creating another victim for the rest of his natural life”. Strouse recounted for the Court that Yerger had committed and was convicted of a minimum of 16 separate incidents of sexual abuse involving the 4 victims, and asked for a sentence to be imposed for each incident independently. In total, Strouse asked the Court to impose a sentence of 180 to 360 years in a state correctional facility.
Yerger also addressed the Court at sentencing. He alleged that the victims lied about their sexual abuse and accused the State Police and DA Strouse of lying at trial. Yerger also argued that his defense attorney refused to offer hundreds of “pieces of evidence” at trial that would demonstrate his innocence.
Ultimately, Judge Salisbury imposed a sentence of 50 to 100 years in a state correctional facility. When he imposed sentence, he told Yerger “you show no remorse, you continue to deny the crime took place, you blame your attorney, the prosecution, the State Police and the victims”. Salisbury also classified Yerger as a Tier III Sex Offender, making him a lifetime registrant pursuant to Pennsylvania’s Megan’s Law. Yerger had also been deemed a Sexually Violent Predator. Yerger will be 78 years old when he is first eligible for parole.
