NOYES TOWNSHIP - On 12/16/2024 at approximately 1515, The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop F - Lamar station responded to the above location for an animal cruelty complaint. The victim reported that he let his dog, an 11 year old yellow Labrador Retriever, out at approximately 5:30 AM on 12/16/24 and the dog never returned. A search for the dog led the victim to a neighboring property owned or inhabited by Robert Wallish, who has a permanent address in Hummelstown, PA. Wallish is believed to use the Noyes Township property as a hunting cabin. On Wallish's property, the victim allegedly discovered blood, dog hair, and other biological matter. State Police and would later execute several search warrants in both Clinton and Dauphin County, PA. On 12/17/24, the dog was found deceased approximately 150 miles away from the scene where it is believed to have been killed with a gunshot wound to its neck.
Biological evidence obtained in the investigation was taken to East Stroudsburg University lab for testing. The biological matter recovered from WALLISH's property in Clinton County was submitted to the lab along with a sample from the victim's deceased dog for DNA analysis. The biological matter and the sample from the victim's deceased dog yielded a positive match.
On 02/20/2025, Robert WALLISH was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse and an arrest warrant was obtained through MDJ 25-3-03. He was arraigned late last week and bail was set at $15,000 unsecured. Wallish is scheduled for his first Court appearance in Clinton County on March 3, 2025 at 9:15 AM.
