BEECH CREEK, TOWNSHIP – The Pennsylvania State Police – Lamar Station, charged Kae Ann WEBER, 65, of Self Rd., Mill Hall, Pa. for stealing approximately $153,438.52 from the Beech Creek Township Authority.
WEBER was the Beech Creek Township Secretary at the time of the alleged thefts. The criminal complaint revealed that WEBER made “numerous” ATM withdrawals and POS (point of sale) transactions at various locations that include the Beech Creek Hotel, Forty and Eight Chateau, multiple Sheetz locations, and the list goes on. One of WEBER’s POS transactions was the purchase of a $1,529.55 Odyssey of the Sea cruise. WEBER also applied for an ATM card, using herself as one of the required signatures and a former Township Supervisor’s forged signature as the second authorized user.
Boyer and Ritter LLC conducted a forensic audit. The conclusion of the audit identified that WEBER had misappropriated at least $153,438.52.
WEBER is currently being housed in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 monetary bail while awaiting her First Appearance at the Clinton County Courthouse on February 23rd.
