On Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Parkesburg Borough Council Meeting, Mayor John P. Hagan II, will officially swear in Steven D. Smith as the Police Captain.  Captain Smith was provisionally appointed to this position in March of 2026 and has since successfully completed the civil service testing process, allowing for him to assume this position officially.
