To those in the greater Octorara region who never had the opportunity to meet, or to get to know PENNYSLVANIA STATE POLICE CORPORAL TIMOTHY O'CONNOR, he enlisted with the Pennsylvania State Police in September of 2010 as a member of the 131st cadet class.  Upon graduating from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, he was assigned to Troop J - Avondale Barracks Patrol Unit.  In October of 2016, he was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit.  He transferred to the Troop J - Embreeville Barracks Patrol Unit in March of 2022 and was promoted to the rank of Corporal in July of 2022.

Over the last decade Corporal O'Connor has been a fixture at the PSP-Camp Cadet program which is a week-long summer camp program for the youth, ages 11-15.  This program focusses on fostering positive relationships with the youth while helping the children to build their self-esteem.  Corporal O'Connor valued the opportunity to positively impact our youth as was evident when he volunteered to attend the Parkesburg Borough Police Department's Coffee with a Cop in June of 2025.   

Corporal O'Connor was taken from us on the evening of March 8, 2026, when he was shot and killed in the line of duty.  He leaves behind his beautiful wife Casey, his cherished 6-year-old daughter, and a loving extended family.  His legacy is steeped in VALOR & COMMITMENT.

So again, to those in the greater Octorara region who never had the opportunity to meet, or to get to know PENNYSLVANIA STATE POLICE CORPORAL TIMOTHY O'CONNOR, it is important for you to know that he made every effort to serve you and to protect you.  And now you know a little bit about CORPORAL TIMOTHY O'CONNOR.
