National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (NLEAD) is observed annually on January 9th, a day dedicated to showing support and gratitude for law enforcement officers who risk their lives to protect communities, encouraging citizens to wear blue, share positive stories, and thank officers for their service. It's a chance to acknowledge their sacrifices, often highlighted by wearing blue, posting support online, or sending thank-you notes to local departments, and is supported by various law enforcement organizations.
