NATIONAL POLICE WEEK 2026 is recognized from May 10, 2026 through May 16, 2026.  The PARKESBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT would like to thank all of our brothers and sisters serving with local, county, state, and federal agencies for wearing the badge and answering the call.

F.O.P. Lodge 11 will be hosting a ceremony on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at 6:30PM to honor Chester County Law Enforcement.

While every year this week reminds us all of those loved and lost across our nation, this year brings the reality of the ultimate sacrifice to “our front door”.  On Sunday, March 8, 2026, PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE CORPORAL TIMOTHY J. O’CONNOR JR. was shot and killed in the line of duty in West Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.  

During the aforementioned ceremony to be held at F.O.P. Lodge 11 on May 14, 2026, CORPORAL O’CONNOR will be honored.
