On June 10, 2023 at 3:00 am the Oxford Police observed an illegally parked vehicle in the area of South Third Street and Locust Streets.  As the Officer approached the vehicle it pulled away and turned onto Market Street.  The vehicle was not operating with its required headlamps, therefor the Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Blk Market Street where contact was made with the operator, Brett Sudler, 37, of Lincoln University.   Officer observed that Sudler exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. After further investigation, Officers concluded that Sudler was incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle and he was placed into custody for DUI.  Sudler was transported to PSP Avondale Barracks where a breath test was administered before being transported back to OPD where he was processed and held until he could safely be released.
