On December 28, 2023 the Oxford Police were dispatched to the 500 Blk Old Street for a report of a domestic disturbance involving a subject with a knife. Upon arrival, Officers made contact outside of the residence with Jose Santiago, 52, of Oxford.  Officers spoke to the victim and several witnesses who state that Santiago attempted to stab the victim and made several verbal threats to harm her.  Officers were directed to Santiago's bedroom where they located the knife that was used in the assault.  Santiago was taken into custody and transported to the Oxford Police for processing.   Santiago was transported by Constables to Chester County Prison where he was arraigned and held on a $75,000 cash bail.  A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 9, 2024 at the Oxford District Court.
