We thank our community’s military veterans today for their service to our country. Many of our neighbors served in combat, while others were stationed abroad in other roles to help keep our great nation safe. Today is a day to honor their service and commitment to our country.
The hazards of military service may seem obvious. But mental health issues can be present regardless of the assignment that a veteran had, combat or non-combat related. If you’re a veteran or the veteran in your life is showing signs of crisis, remember that help is always available. Dial 988, then Press 1 or text 838255 for the Veterans Crisis Line. This is a free, confidential support resource available for you 24/7/365. When you call or text, a qualified responder will listen and help. Check out Chester County Veterans Affairs or U.S Veterans Affairs for more information.
