Downingtown PD joined other area police departments in supporting the Target's Heroes and Helpers event in Exton last week. This event, in which 14 families (29 kids total) from the A Haven family groups had the opportunity to do some holiday shopping alongside police officers at the Exton Target.

The West Whiteland Police Association, the Upper Uwchlan Township Police Department, and the Downingtown Police Association fundraised together to provide each kid with a gift card, and Target provided pizza, snacks, and wrapping supplies so families could snack and wrap their gifts once they were all done shopping! 

Officers from West Whiteland PD, Upper Uwchlan PD, Uwchlan PD, Downingtown PD, East Brandywine PD, and East Whiteland PD participated in this great evening. This gave the A Haven families a chance to connect with each other and some of our area’s great police officers in a fun way.
