What began as a simple birthday wish has grown into a meaningful annual tradition rooted in generosity and gratitude. For the past several years, local resident Megan Rupar has chosen to celebrate her birthday not by receiving gifts, but by giving back to the Warrington Township Police Department’s K9 Unit.
Instead of presents, Megan asks friends and family to contribute to the Township’s K9 Fund. Following her birthday each year, she has personally met with Corporal Blanchard and K9 Jolie, as well as Officer Fox and K9 Abby, to present her donation and spend time with the teams she so proudly supports.
Her continued commitment reflects not only her love for the K9 officers, but also a deep appreciation for the work they do to keep the community safe.
The Warrington Township Police Department is truly honored by Megan’s generosity and the example she sets. Her kindness serves as a reminder that community support comes in many forms and that even the smallest acts can make a lasting impact.
