Traffic Stop Turns Dangerous as Driver Flees with Ammunition in Pocket
On December 7, 2025, Warrington Police observed a vehicle committing several motor vehicle violations and initiated a traffic stop on Oxford Drive. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Andres Ortiz Columna of Warrington, provided his driver’s license. During the interaction, the officer observed live small-caliber firearm ammunition in Ortiz Columna’s clothing.
When instructed to shut off the vehicle, Ortiz Columna instead placed the vehicle in drive and fled at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, activating emergency lights, but Ortiz Columna continued to flee, nearly striking a marked police vehicle. He then turned off his vehicle lights and proceeded through a red traffic signal before escaping.
A warrant was issued for Ortiz Columna’s arrest. On December 20, 2025, officers received information that he was at a residence on Pileggi Road. Police responded to the location and took Ortiz Columna into custody without incident.
Ortiz Columna was processed and arraigned by Judge Gaier, who set bail at $750,000 or 10 percent cash. Unable to post bail, he was committed to the Bucks County Correctional Facility pending further proceedings.
