Traffic Violations Lead to Drug Arrest in Warrington
On December 7, 2025, a Warrington Township police officer observed several motor vehicle violations and initiated a traffic stop. A registration check revealed the vehicle’s registration was suspended.
The operator, identified as 44-year-old Alexis Ann Gilbert of Ambler, produced her driver’s license. During the encounter, the officer observed signs of impairment. Gilbert was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests, which she was unable to successfully complete.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Gilbert was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and later released.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
