Definitions

Reportable Crash – An accident involving injury or death of any person, and/or damage to a vehicle rendering it inoperable or unsafe to drive without further damage or hazard, requiring towing.

Non-Reportable Crash – A crash involving no injury or death, and no vehicle towed due to damage. Incidents occurring on private property or caused by deliberate intent or natural events are also non-reportable.

Unfounded – A reported crime that, upon investigation, is determined to be false or baseless; the alleged incident did not occur or was never attempted.

Open Investigation – A case that remains under active investigation by law enforcement.
