Officer Rowe of the Plumstead Township Police Department took the plunge last Friday in support of Special Olympics Pennsylvania, raising close to $200 for this worthy cause. Special Olympics Pennsylvania provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, promoting physical fitness, courage, joy, and friendship.
In addition to Officer Rowe's efforts, cadets from Explorer Post 5708 joined forces with the Philadelphia Explorers to volunteer their time and services. They provided security and assisted with safety measures as plungers entered and exited the pools, ensuring a fun and safe experience for all participants.
