Requirements

• Be a United States citizen.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer.
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or another state.
• Meet the certification requirements of the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission under Act 120 prior to the time of application.

Only applicants who have successfully completed the recruit training course at a school certified by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission under Act 120 prior to the time of hire, shall be considered for employment.

Successful candidates will be required to take part in an oral interview process and may undergo an in-depth background check, polygraph examination, and medical and psychological examinations.
