The Perkasie Borough Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred early Thursday morning, February 19, 2026, in Sellersville Borough.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck at approximately 6:30 a.m. on East Park Avenue. The 81-year-old female victim was attempting to cross Park Avenue, just west of Hughes Avenue, when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The victim was subsequently transported to St. Luke's Grandview Hospital by ChalBrit EMS, where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Preliminary findings suggest that excessive speed was not a contributing factor in the crash. Preliminary findings also indicate that distracted driving was not involved in the crash. The crash was witnessed by an independent witness at the scene, whose account verified statements of the driver and was corroborated by evidence at the scene.
Assistance was provided at the scene by the Sellersville Fire Department, ChalBrit EMS, and Sellersville Fire Police personnel.
