Our department recovered several credit card skimming devices yesterday morning at two separate locations. The two locations were the 7-11 Gas Station (527 W. Lincoln Hwy) and Express Gas (652 Bellevue Ave). The other gas station in town was checked as well and no devices were found. We will be investigating further into the source of the skimmers and attempting to catch any involved parties.

We have received numerous complaints about credit card skimming devices in the past and we have been frequently checking the pumps for skimmers and working with the business owners to prevent them in the first place. This is the first time we were able to locate them and will be increasing our frequency of checking the pumps for the devices. All of the business owners have been fully cooperative with police during these investigations.

If you used the gas pumps at these locations recently make sure to monitor your credit card activity. You should also contact the credit card company for a replacement card and to put an alert on your account for any suspicious activity.
