Complainant contacted headquarters to report an issue with the traffic light at Bristol and Jacksonville Road.  Patrol went out to check on the light and found there was an issue.  Patrol contacted the Department of Public Works to come out and repair the light.

 

Patrol responded to a business on Louise Drive for a civil dispute.  Complainant advised that an employee had arrived to work and they believe the employee was under the influence of something. He was told to leave, but complainant was concerned that the employee should not be driving.  Patrol spoke with the employee and it was determined that the employer would arrange of a uber/taxi to take the employee home.

Patrol responded to Newtown-Richboro Road for a one-vehicle accident.  Complainant states they were traveling on Newtown-Richboro Road when a deer jumped out onto the roadway and they were unable to avoid hitting it.  The vehicle sustained minor damage and did not require a tow.

 

Patrol responded to Almshouse Road for a report of a two-vehicle accident.  Unit #2 was stopped for traffic when Unit #1 failed to stop and struck Unit #2 in the rear.  Both vehicles sustained moderate to heavy damage.  Unit #1 was towed from the scene.  No injuries were reported.

 

Complainant contacted headquarters to report a solicitation complaint.  Complainant states that for the past three days solicitors from a driveway company came to their residence.  Complainant declined the services but wanted to have the complaint on record.   There are no current solicitor permits issued for any driveway companies.

 

Officers gave a tour of the police station to a group of children and their adult chaperones from a local Pre-School.  All enjoyed the tour.

Patrol responded to a business on 2^nd Street Pike for a report of Juveniles jumping on vehicles.  Upon arrival patrol spoke with a driver who indicated they had seen it but the juveniles had left.  Patrol attempted to contact the original complainant but they too had left the scene.

 

While on patrol in the area of Middle Holland Road and Rock Way, Officers observed a vehicle driving erratically.  Officers initiated a car stop, and through investigation the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, defendant was processed and released.

Patrol responded to 1025 2^nd Street Pike for a report of a Traffic Accident.  Complainant stated they had witnessed an accident in the parking lot and that the driver struck another vehicle, parked their car and went into the store.  Patrol waited for the driver to return to their car.  The driver admitted to striking the neighboring vehicle while attempting to park.  Patrol was able to locate the owner of the struck vehicle and provide them with the insurance information of the striking vehicle.  Minor damages to both vehicles.

 

Complainant contacted headquarters to report attempted fraud.  Complainant states they were contacted by their bank and advised that someone was trying to withdraw $3,500 from their account at a branch in Norwalk Connecticut.  Complainant states that it was not them and they had not given anyone authorization to do so.  The imposter was apprehended by the Norwalk Police.  Complainant’s bank had closed the compromised account for the Complainant and Complainant did not have a monetary loss. 

 

Patrol responded to Buck Road for a report of two vehicle accident.  Unit #1 was traveling behind Unit #2 on Buck Road, when traffic stopped and Unit #1 was unable to stop and struck the rear of Unit #2.  Both vehicles sustained damage, but did not require a tow.  No injuries were reported.

 

Patrol responded to a business on 2^nd Street Pike for a report of two males stealing beer and malt beverages.  Complainant states that the males entered the store at three different times and took items without paying.  On their last trip into the store they were confronted by a witness who recorded their activities.  Witnesses were able to provide vehicle and registration information to police.

Patrol responded to Sunset Drive for a report of a suspicious person.  Complainant states that there is an individual going door to door.  Patrol located the individual who was a permitted solicitor.  Patrol notified complainant of the outcome.

 

Complainant came into headquarters to report fraud.  Complainant states that they were contacted by a credit monitoring bureau that their identity had been used in Alabama to purchase items from a telecommunications company.  Complainant reached out to the company and started a fraud claim with them and also contacted a debt collector who was working on the same incident. 

 

Patrol responded to a business on Bustleton Pike for a report of a theft.  Complainant states that two males entered their business, picked up product and walked out without paying for it.  Case referred to CID.

Patrol responded to E. Heron Road for a report of Juveniles banging on doors and running away, leaving trash behind.   Patrol met with Complainant who was able to catch one of the juveniles and get their address.  Patrol responded to the address and spoke with the homeowner who indicated their child’s friends had just returned from being in the neighborhood and that patrol could speak with them.  The group did admit to playing “knock knock zoom zoom”.  The group was educated on the safety risks and potential consequences of their actions.  All seem apologetic for their actions.   Patrol contacted all of the parents and all were picked up by their parents.

 

While patrolling, Officers stopped a vehicle for motor vehicle violations.  Through investigation, the driver arrested for controlled substances, processed and released.

Patrol responded to E. Julianna Drive for a report of mail in a sewer drain.   Patrol located several pieces of mail for a specific address.   When checking with the property owner of the mail it appears there may have been some mail with checks in the outgoing mail.  Patrol will have DPW open the sewer so the mail can be retrieved.

 

Complainant contacted headquarters to report mail theft.  Complainant had ordered their medication via Express Script.  When it was delivered by USPS the package was empty.  Complainant was able to show footage from the Ring Doorbell showing it appears USPS delivered an empty package.  Complainant was advised to file a report with the US Postal Inspectors Office as well.

 

Patrol responded to Mallard Road for a report of a dog bit.  Complainant states that they were on a walk on Crescent Drive when a small black and white dog came off of its property and began to circle and bark at Complainant.  Complainant yelled at the dog and attempted to leave the area but was still bit by the dog, causing a puncture wound to their leg.  Patrol responded to the address where the dog came from and spoke with the owner of the dog, who indicated that the dog had gotten loose earlier.  The owner was advised that of the quarantine regulations and would need to contact their vet to get their vaccinations records.
