Patrol observed an individual operating an e-bike on 2nd Street Pike, and a traffic stop was initiated. The operator, who was a juvenile, was identified, and a parent was contacted to respond and take custody of the e-bike.

Traffic Accident – Property Damage
Patrol responded to the intersection of Newtown-Richboro Road and Holland Road for a traffic accident. A large truck was traveling westbound on Newtown-Richboro Road when it struck a traffic signal and wires. The roadway was closed until the utility companies were contacted and arrived at the scene to repair the damage.

Scam
The complainant reported receiving a phone call from an individual claiming to be from the Sheriff’s Office and stating that there was an active warrant for their arrest for missing jury duty. The complainant recognized the call as a scam and hung up on the caller.

Criminal Mischief
Patrol responded to the area of Bustleton Pike for a report of several vehicles being damaged. It was determined that one or more vehicles were driving through the area while occupants were throwing objects at passing vehicles, causing damage. Information was gathered, and the case was assigned to Detectives for further investigation.

Retail Theft
Patrol responded to a business in the Richboro section of the township for a reported retail theft. Contact was made with the loss prevention manager, who provided video footage of the theft. Patrol was able to identify the suspect, who was subsequently cited for theft related charges.

During this tour, patrol handled 19 alarm calls, 19 abandoned 911 calls, 43 medical emergencies, 6 bookings, 5 domestic disputes, 11 civil disputes, 59 traffic monitoring details, and 11 crime prevention details.
