Patrol responded to the area of Almshouse Road and North Friesland Drive for a report of smoke coming from an underground junction box. Upon arrival, patrol verified an issue, and PECO responded to the scene.

Road Hazard
Patrol responded to the area of Middle Holland Road and Doe Run Drive for a downed tree. Upon arrival, patrol observed a tree blocking Doe Run Drive. Northampton Township Public Works responded, and the tree was removed from the roadway.
DUI Arrest
Patrol responded to the area of Buck Road and Heron Road for a report of a driver slumped over inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, patrol made contact with the driver and, through investigation, the individual was taken into custody on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Solicitor Complaint
Patrol responded to the area of Nancy Drive for a solicitor complaint. Upon arrival, patrol located two individuals going door-to-door without a permit. They were identified and advised of the steps required to apply for a solicitation permit within the township.

Found Property
A complainant came to the police station with property they had found. Patrol took possession of the property and was able to contact the owner. The property was returned to its owner.
Traffic Accident (Deer Involved)
Patrol responded to the area of Upper Holland Road and Yerkes Drive for a traffic accident. Unit #1 was traveling westbound on Upper Holland Road when a deer entered the roadway, resulting in a collision. No tow was required.

Fraud
A complainant reported that while using their home computer, it became locked and displayed a message appearing to be from Microsoft, instructing them to call a phone number. The complainant contacted the number and spoke with an individual claiming to be from Microsoft Security. The individual advised that the complainant’s bank accounts were compromised and instructed them to wire funds to a “secure account.” During the incident, a bank employee identified the activity as fraudulent and flagged the accounts. Information was collected, and the case has been assigned to Detectives.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to the area of Newtown-Richboro Road and Fir Drive for a traffic accident. Unit #1 was turning onto Newtown-Richboro Road from Fir Drive and made contact with Unit #2, which was traveling eastbound on Newtown-Richboro Road. A tow was required.

Found Dog
Patrol responded to the area of Tanyard Road for a report of two found dogs. Upon arrival, patrol located the dogs, and they were reunited with their owners.
During this tour, patrol handled 17 alarm calls, 9 abandoned 911 calls, 37 medical emergencies, 10 bookings, 5 domestic disputes, 8 civil disputes, 92 traffic monitoring details, and 28 crime prevention details.
