On 19 January 2020 at 11:50 PM patrol officers from the Falls Township Police Department (FTPD) were dispatched to a home on Thinbark Lane in Levittown for a husband/wife domestic dispute, stated Falls Township Police Lt. Nelson Whitney. The wife fled the home and called 911 and reported that her 47 year old husband was inside and armed with several firearms.

After several unsuccessful attempts to get an answer at the door and on the phone, the Special Response Team (SRT) was activated. Utilizing an armored vehicle and a loud speaker, attempts were repeatedly made to contact the man inside the house with no success. After approximately 4 hours, entry was made into the home and the man was found deceased from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Lt. Whitney thanked the Bensalem Township Police Department, the Bristol Township Police Department and the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad for their assistance during the incident.
